GANK PANSUAY

Arthit (Gank) Pansuay born in 1983 is a portrait artist who celebrates women, from the influence of working for a clothing display design and theme park design company, he combines experience from his design work with painting together. He mixes painting by oil, acrylic and crayon on canvas. He has very unique style that emphasises his subject's natural beauty, playing with colour and form together between pop-art, classic mood and tone in a way that turns his paintings inspired from women and elements of nature as symbols in metaphorical mood.

The portraits capture moments in time, inviting the viewer's subjective interpretations, symbolic language and current state of mind at the moment of the observation. In the past 6 years, he's been interested in varieties of human skin colors, especially darker-skinned humans, in away of beauty that is different from cultivated beauty. It seems like he tried to find answers of questions he never had experience in. But, imagination and thoughts have drawn them here on his works.

By letting the audiences leave their pass experiences of beauty behind and then go forward to other spectrums of charisma.

The results might come from their own imagination, cultivation, media or social construction. It's individually" His artwork are presented at exhibition in USA, UK, Russia, Philippines and Thailand.
